Hello and welcome to your next adventure! Follow the steps below to begin exploring USD study abroad programs!

1. Sign-up for a Study Away 101 session

Study Away 101 sessions present foundational information about study away programs. Students will learn about the types of programs, how to pay for programs and eligibility requirements for USD study away programs. Explore dates and times to sign up for a 101 session today!

2. Explore program offerings and brainstorm your goals.
Consider the following:

Why do I want to do this?
Do I meet all eligibility requirements including mental, physical, and academic requirements?
Do I have specific major or class requirements?
Where do I want to go? Do I want to study a foreign language?
When would be the best time for me to study abroad? Do I want a shorter or longer-term program? Do I want to work/travel/volunteer before or after my program dates?
What are the costs associated with studying abroad?
What kind of housing is offered?

3. Make an appointment with the Gallagher Center staff via Coyote Connections.

4. Begin the application process.

Search for the program you've selected, and click the "Apply Now" button to log in and begin your application. Follow all directions carefully, and be sure to complete the application in full prior to the program's deadline.

Students applying to a program that is not listed on our website must complete the Non-USD Affiliated Program Proposal. Contact theworld@usd.edu for more information.
