Study Abroad in France

Why France?
France is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, and for good reason. The cuisine would be worth the visit all by itself. So would the historic castles and cathedrals, the first-rate art museums, and the chance to stroll the streets of some of the world’s most beautiful and beloved cities. Fortunately, visitors don’t have to choose: students who travel to France with World Endeavors can experience all these things while being immersed in the French language and culture. Traveling here to study is a great chance to study a language that’s spoken all over the world, and to learn first-hand what it’s like to live à la française.

Program Information**

Live in Angers, France
Angers is a historic city with a thoroughly modern perspective, located in the world-famous Loire river valley. The city is home to a beautiful cathedral and to the Château d’Angers, a huge castle dating back to the ninth century. The other châteaux of the Loire valley are nearby, making Angers the ideal home base for exploring the dramatic history of France. A variety of concerts, theater performances, and festivals occur in town, and the city has public basketball, volleyball, and tennis facilities. An assortment of museums showcase several centuries’ worth of local art. The city itself is small enough that students find it easy to get around on foot and discover their own favorite restaurants and cafés, and it’s large enough that all the amenities that students need can be easily found. It’s also well-placed for further adventures, as Paris is less than two hours away by train and the rest of France is just beyond.
